Educator Engin Yiğit narrated the close concern shown by the former President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan to the PakTurk Schools and a visit he made to preside over a school function.

The granddaughter of the then-President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan was studying at the Islamabad PakTurk Girls Branch in 2016. We invited him to preside over the Primary School Sports Week Award Ceremony as the Guest of Honour at our school campus. He gracefully consented for the invitation and honoured us by stating that he would be happy to support his granddaughter as well on that important day.

On that day, preparations for the protocol visit of the President of the Azad Kashmir was conducted taking all details into consideration that several other dignitaries too would attend to the function. The final preparations were reviewed minutes before the program. Our students welcomed Mr. Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan with flowers and the program started once the AJ&K President, who arrived with a modest retinue, took his seat.

He expressed his delight after the program

Nearly 400 of our primary school students and their parents showed great interest in the award ceremony and took their places to witness this exclusive day of sports achievement of their children. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan praised PakTurk Schools adding how his granddaughter loved her school. He expressed his gratitude to the teachers and the school administrators for their commendable educational activities.

Having presented the medals and gifts to the students who got positions in several competitions during the Sports Week, the President of Azad Kashmir also met and discussed with the school administrators after the program. He expressed his close interest and appreciation for the PakTurk educational institutions during the meeting and expressed his delight while leaving the campus.
