Dear friends of the PakTurkFile,

Our website has been online for the last three-and-a-half months with your support.

With the beautiful memories you send to us, we jointly remember an exquisite quarter of a century you entrusted to Pakistan and humanity.

We will continue to do this as a “duty” imposed on us by destiny and the enigmatic phase we currently experience.

However, there are some periods during which we strive for performing our daily routines in accordance with their essence. The upcoming holy month of Ramadan is indeed the foremost of such periods.

On our website, we also wish you to feel the breezes wafting from that blessed clime which is conceptualized in our own realm as “being as one in heart and soul with Ramadan”.

Of course, we will do this once again through your valuable support.

Come on, in addition to our other memories, let’s also share our Ramadan and Eid memories in this month.

Let’s talk about the months of Ramadan we spent in Pakistan and the Pakistani traditions and customs in Ramadan.

Let’s write about the peace of the tarawih prayers performed in the Badshahi Masjid and the taste of the iftars in the Faisal Masjid after the maghrib azaan.

Let’s write about the recitations of the Holy Qur’an rendered in turns at the neighbourhood masjid or at own homes, besides the conversations and the longings we had…

Let’s write about Pakistan’s special iftar and sehri menus, the Ramadan culture, and the significance given to fasting and to those who fast…

Let’s write about how our children and our students kept on fasting despite the sweltering heat…

Let’s write about the exclusive Ramadan atmosphere in our schools and dormitories, and the thrill due to the forthcoming Eid holidays…

Let’s write about our Eids and how we exchanged Eid greetings… our visits to friends away from our country but no different than feeling the warmth of our families…

Let’s write the Eid traditions and all beautiful things that made us experience festive Eids abroad…

Let’s write our memories of Ramadan and the Eids; let’s narrate them better with photographs or share them with videos, if available.

Let’s relive and revisit each Ramadan we spent in Pakistan.

On occasion of this heartfelt appeal, we felicitate you in advance on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan and pray that it will be auspicious and full of good fortune for all of you.
