Cemil Çiçek, who served as the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) between 2011 and 2015, visited Pakistan in 2013 with a group of Turkish parliamentarians. Çiçek and his entourage also visited the PakTurk Schools on February 13. Çiçek wrote his feelings in the schools’ visitors’ diary, stating that the PakTurk Schools strengthen the ties between Turkey and Pakistan.
The following are the remarks written and signed by Cemil Çiçek, former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, during his visit to the PakTurk Schools Islamabad Branch:
“I am immensely glad to be at the PakTurk International Cag Educational Foundation and to meet the students who study here, as part of the official visit I carry out with my parliamentary delegation to our friendly and brotherly country Pakistan.
I congratulate all the administrators and teachers of this exquisite educational institution, where the deep-seated friendship and humane ties between Turkey and Pakistan will be further strengthened, for their devoted and successful work, and thank them on behalf of myself and my delegation for the warm hospitality shown to us.”
