‘Our teachers treated us like their own children’

There is a letter from a former PakTurk student… Ahmed A. wrote the memorable sentence he learned from his Turkish teacher and about his days at the school hostel which he still remembers.

I came to PakTurk in 2010. In the beginning, I was worried how I was going to live there but the environment in the hostel was very good. There were different activities for students like football and other games. Our supervisors – or ‘abi’s as we called them – were very supportive. Whenever we faced problems, they endeavoured to solve them.

In the school, there were Turkish teachers, and I had not seen such humble and polite teachers in my previous schools. At that time, I was confused why Turkish teachers showed affection to us and why they were always concerned about their students. I had many teachers. They arranged special training programs to solve our problems in our school subjects. They also arranged programs for our entertainment. They treated us like their own children. When I heard the government was not supporting them, I felt very sad for them. I cannot forget them in my life.

In the end, I just want to write a single line for my Turkish teachers which they themselves taught us:

“DO EVERY SINGLE GOOD DEED WITHOUT EXPECTING A PAYBACK.” 🌸

I still miss my teachers.😢

I hope they all are well and fine.❤️

Oh hi there 👋 It’s nice to meet you.
